The Terms Godhead, Trinity, Triune God, and Three-in-one are not in the Bible. Yet, the Bible refers to three separate parts or beings or people and God calls himself one, so we have a bit of a mystery. Luke 3:21-22 . When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened 22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Here the Holy Spirit descended, God spoke from Heaven, and Jesus was on earth. What is God?   A Biblical search of the term “God is” returns hundreds of listings. I've put together a list of what God says he is. When reading the bible, God refers to himself with words other than “God is” but this list does not include any of those references.   God is love, 1 John 4:8 , 1 John 4:16 God is a solid rock, 2 Samuel 22:32 , Psalm 18:31 God is the eternal Rock, Isaiah 26:4 God is holy!
